Talk Giving to Me!
As we look towards 2030, Segal Family Foundation is working to build the most influential development network in Sub-Saharan Africa with local visionaries at the helm. In the spirit of this vision, we’re strengthening our community of creative collaborators: through convenings like Segal 2026, through ecosystems like the Social Impact Incubator, and now with a podcast titled Talk Giving to Me.
A microcosm of our Donor Salon, Talk Giving to Me is a series of short conversations between funders with a presence in African countries. Touching on topics ranging from the evolving landscape to what we could all be doing better, each episode is meant to give donor entities something to think about and encourage continued engagement with those ideas. Collaborative philanthropy is becoming increasingly necessary, and such relationships are often started by moments of conversation.
This first episode was filmed in Zambia, with guests from the United Nations Population Fund and the Non-governmental Gender Organisations’ Coordinating Council talking post-USAID and government adoption. Watch and stay tuned to find out where we go next!
