Project Description

Established in 1997 by a group of ten Maasai women living in Loliondo division (Ngorongoro District), the Pastoral Women’s Council is a grassroots movement of pastoralist women living northern Tanzania.

Partner Since: September 2016

Why We Love Them: PWC’s work is deeply contextualized and led by communities themselves. They are pushing barriers in very traditional settings and gaining support from communities every step of the way.
