Established in 1997 by a group of ten Maasai women living in Loliondo division (Ngorongoro District), the Pastoral Women’s Council is a grassroots movement of pastoralist women living northern Tanzania.

Why we love them
PWC’s work is deeply contextualized and led by communities themselves. They are pushing barriers in very traditional settings and gaining support from communities every step of the way.
