Kyaninga Child Development Centre works to create equal opportunities for children with disabilities and their families through the provision of therapy and rehabilitation, training and capacity building, equipment provision, and economic empowerment.
Why we love them
KCDC employs a community-based approach to providing care to children with special needs in an area with very few facilities, offering specialized medical care to children in a child-friendly way.

- Kyaninga Child Development Centre was awarded a Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action for its bamboo wheelchair project.
- Kyaninga CEO and co-founder Fiona Beckerlegge was honored with a prestigious Fellowship from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
- Kyaninga co-founder Steve Williams was awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2024 for serving children with disabilities and local communities in Western Uganda.
