Sharon Afandi

As the Equitable Giving Associate based in Nairobi, Sharon supports our African Visionary Fellowship program, coordinates events, and promotes our partners to fellow funders.

Active in the NGO and INGO sector since 2016, Sharon previously served as Grants Administrator at Argidius Foundation by Porticus, playing a pivotal role in streamlining grantmaking operations across partners in Colombia, Guatemala and East Africa in a bid to empower small businesses to scale, create jobs, and foster human dignity. She contributed her expertise to organizations such as Open Society Foundation, InformAction, and Little Angels Network, supporting initiatives including democratic governance, rule of law, community organizing, gender equity, and child protection.

Sharon is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Gender & Development at the University of Nairobi, building up her B.A in Communication from the same institution.
