Sarah Gioe

Sarah joined Segal Family Foundation in 2015 and has been leading the communications team ever since. As Director of Communications, she oversees the foundation’s branding, messaging, and online presence. A typical day may include creating logos, managing the website, producing videos, and leading newsletter campaigns—all in the service of promoting Segal’s rockstar partners. A skilled editor with a sharp eye, she is happy to work with grantee partners to improve their communications and tell their stories more effectively.

With over 25 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Sarah’s early career as a graphic designer has led to involvement in all facets of communications. She believes that an organization can look good while doing good, and that design is a key component of articulating a vision across continents and cultures. One of the biggest perks of her job is learning about the work of Segal’s inspiring partners and telling an ever-widening audience about them. Sarah holds a bachelor of arts from St. Olaf College in Spanish and studio art.
