Darcia O’Brien

Darcia oversees the foundation’s financial compliance and accounting functions. In collaboration with regional accountants, she processes payroll for our African staff. In addition, she works with auditors on annual audits and manages banking relationships across continents. Darcia advises partners on building effective financial systems. She’s a problem-solver whose eye for detail and passion for Segal’s work keep our engines running smoothly.

Darcia holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in accounting from Upsala College. She has numerous years of experience in accounting, administration, and nonprofit audits. In 2023, she became a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP). Darcia is married and the proud mother of three.
