Akouavi Coretta Tannous

As Program Officer based in Togo, Akouavi supports the Social Impact Incubator in Francophone West Africa and manages a portfolio of grantee partners across the region. 

Before joining Segal, Akouavi supported capacity-building programs for gender-focused social entrepreneurs across Africa at the Alliance for Women and Girls, contributed to learning and leadership development at Equinexus Partners, and spent years designing civic engagement and youth leadership programs through the Alternatif Leadership Group. What she has learned along the way is that the most powerful thing you can offer a changemaker is a bridge from where they are to where they could be. She is still building those bridges, now with a bigger toolkit and a team of rockstars.

When she is not connecting changemakers to the resources and relationships they need, you will find her writing poetry or crafting something with her hands.
