Rodney Katongo

Rodney Katongo is a development practitioner and social entrepreneur with over fifteen years of experience advancing locally led solutions that strengthen food security, livelihoods, and inclusive economic development in rural communities. The co-founder and CEO of Africa Access Water, his work focuses on designing and implementing sustainable systems that enable communities across Zambia to build long-term resilience and economic agency in the face of climate and structural challenges. Africa Access Water delivers solar-powered infrastructure for productive use through integrated water, agriculture, and energy systems. Under Rodney’s leadership, their work positions water access not only as a basic service but as a catalyst for productivity, learning, and locally driven development.
Rodney is also a published author: his book The Men We Become outlines how to support young men as they navigate personal growth, responsibility, and adulthood.
