Maanda Ngoitiko
Maanda Ngoitiko is a Maasai woman from Loliondo and co-founder and executive director of the Pastoral Women’s Council. She has invested twenty-two years in her community, advocating for equity, justice, and the rights of Maasai women and girls.
Maanda has a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and an advanced diploma in development studies and planning. She sits on various boards of schools and CSOs in her home district of Ngorongoro. Maanda is a recipient of the Paul K. Feyerabend Prize – A World of Solidarity is Possible. She was nominated for The Guardian International Development Achievement Award and was awarded Grassroots Champion in 2019 by Segal Family Foundation. Maanda was recently nominated as a key speaker at World Forum Foundation 2021 Virtual World Tour.
