Lucy Msukwa
With over a decade of experience providing community reproductive healthcare, Lucy Msukwa works to advance the rights and services available to women and adolescents. She founded Uchembere Wabwino (meaning ‘safe motherhood’) – a clinic in Mzuzu, Malawi, that provides sexual and reproductive health services, including adolescent education and counseling. The maternity clinic also offers a space for pregnant women to deliver safely. Lucy holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and midwifery; she is also a public speaker and writer who ardently advocates for youth involvement in community engagement, believing that the future lies in the hands of the next generation. Outside work, Lucy enjoys volunteering, exploring nature, and spending time with her family.
