James Mugume
As the founder and executive director of Health Alert Organization, James Mugume leads transformative initiatives that break healthcare access barriers for marginalized groups in Rwanda. He is driven by a vision to create resilient healthcare systems that prioritize inclusivity, equity, and respect for persons with disabilities, mothers of children with disabilities, people with albinism, and other vulnerable communities. Under his leadership, Health Alert Organization has strengthened Rwandan public health systems by training healthcare providers in inclusive care and deploying mobile clinics that deliver specialized services. James holds a bachelor’s degree in public health.
