
James Gondwe
James has over a decade of experience in non-profit organization leadership, program design, development, and management. He is the founder and executive director of Ulalo.
His career transitioned over time from working for the Community Development Department of the Government of Malawi to various international non-governmental organizations on community development, human rights, communication, advocacy, and project management roles. James has been named a Royal Commonwealth Queens Young Leaders Associate Fellow and a One Young World Ambassador. He has been awarded the Trust Conference Changemakers Award, as well as the African Community Networks Summit Fellowship.
James chairs the boards of CCAP Synod of Livingstonia Early Childhood Development Department and Unlimited Youth Organization, while also sitting on the board of Development Resource and Action Mentorship. He lives in Mzuzu, Malawi with his wife Chifundo and two sons. He enjoys chatting with friends, traveling, and farming.
