Esther Soti
Esther Soti is a social scientist with over 18 years of experience in project management. She is the founder and executive director of Development Knowledge Link Africa (DEVLINK), an NGO that works for the most vulnerable women, girls, and children, with emphasis on health, education, and livelihoods. Under the auspices of DEVLINK, she has worked on several human rights programs, including implementation of multiple HIV prevention programs with women, adolescents, and children; advocacy against gender-based violence; promotion of women’s rights; women economic empowerment; girl child education; and child protection. Her greatest achievement is working closely with law enforcement to ensure that justice is served to perpetrators of gender-based violence.
Esther consults for a wide range of local nonprofit organizations. She has chaired and served on the board of directors of several NGOs, businesses, and learning institutions. She earned her bachelors of arts honors in sociology from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a master’s degree in community health and development from the Great Lakes University of Africa. Esther draws her satisfaction and happiness from the dignity of healthy, empowered, and thriving families.
