An illustrated portrait of Emery Emerimana

Emery Emerimana

Orphaned at the age of 16, Emery’s education and that of his siblings was supported by Maison Shalom. After completing his university studies in communications and further training in community development, peaceful conflict resolution, and project management, Emery worked with various humanitarian organizations. In 2012, he returned to Maison Shalom to give back to the community that helped him grow.

Today, Emery works with his former educators and brothers at Maison Shalom to improve the lives of refugee communities and other vulnerable populations in Rwanda and the Great Lakes region at large.
