Brian Aliganyira
Brian Aliganyira is the founder of Ark Wellness Hub Uganda, an organisation dedicated to expanding access to safe, affirming health and wellness services for LGBTQ people in Uganda. In a highly punitive and restrictive environment for queer communities, Ark Wellness Hub has supported over 10,000 LGBTQ persons by delivering lifesaving and preventive care and by building resilient local systems that create pathways to care for other criminalised communities. This work is driven by innovation, digital access to care, and strong community-led approaches. Brian deeply believes in people and in levelling the playing field so everyone has a chance to thrive and, sometimes, to survive.
