Berry Numbi

Berry Numbi, a dynamic social entrepreneur and professional engineer, drives social and economic transformation through innovation and technology. With a background in engineering and a passion for mentoring youth, Berry’s journey began at the University of Lubumbashi, where he spearheaded transformative programs at the Cisco Katanga Networking Academy, significantly increasing its impact and recognition globally.

Transitioning to the industrial sector, Berry honed his skills as an automation engineer while pursuing a master’s degree in engineering management at the University of Pretoria. He believes in leveraging international best practices and technology to address the structural challenges in his country. In 2015, he founded Centre d’innovation de Lubumbashi (CINOLU), dedicated to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship for resilient cities across Africa. Under his leadership, CINOLU has empowered over 10,000 young innovators and entrepreneurs, establishing partnerships continent-wide. Berry’s commitment extends to co-founding initiatives like Ukamili Digital City, aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of the DRC. As a board member of Afrilabs and Impact Hub networks, Berry continues to champion collaborative efforts for Africa’s advancement.
