Al-karim Sadrudin Bhanji
Al-karim Sadrudin Bhanji is the founder and executive director of Life and Hope Rehabilitation Organization based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Having personally experienced substance addiction for over ten years, he now marks over 24 years of sobriety. Al-karim has previously served as chairman of the Tanzania Network of Sober Houses and participated in the committee that developed national guidelines for sober houses in Tanzania. Driven by lived experience and compassion, he is committed to supporting those struggling with substance abuse through rehabilitation centers that promote harm reduction and ultimately abstinence. Through education and combating community discrimination, Al-karim seeks to empower people who suffer from drug and alcohol addiction by preparing them for legal gainful employment through education and vocational training.
